PT "Ela (a exposição) nasce duma simples ideia. Um desejo de dar continuidade a afinidades que se marcam precisamente pelo contar do tempo lento, longo e calmo. Nasce de uma estranha confiança em empatias humanas, políticas, éticas e artísticas que perduram e subsistem à imposição do comprimir do tempo, às explosões de comunicação e à tirania da efemeridade. Nesta exposição pretendemos testar a validade desses critérios. Pretendemos testar se, ao partilharem um espaço museológico, as obras de arte são capazes de reflectir estes valores basilares que nós próprios quase esquecemos."
EN "The seed for this exhibit is to be found in a simple idea - the wish to give continuity to affinities built over the slow, long and peaceful passing of time. It comes about from a rare confidence in human, political, ethical and artistic empathies defying the compulsion to compress time, the outbreaks of communication frenzies and the tyranny of ephemerality. Through this exhibition, we want to put the validity of those criteria to the test. We want to see if, by sharing the same museum halls, the artworks are capable of revealing those fundamental values which we ourselves almost forget."
